A&P picked up the Nikon D40

    just keep on shooting. those blue/purple flowers take away from your shot. and the fence. and it could be cropped tighter.

    yeah...she went out and took that one...obviously it's untouched.

    it's a real learning phase right now because we're moving from standard point and shoot crappy camera to a real camera.

    Congrats! So how's the camera? Is it as easy to operate as they say?

    it is a little dark. i normally push my exposure up one stop on the exposure comp. then adjust as needed.

    I love Nikon's UI, but damn, the AF on this thing is slow. Because of that, I ended up getting the Pentax K100D, but am really missing the interface.

    thats why i went canon. i played with it for about 2 minutes before putting it down and moving on
