So we went today to pick up my mom's Cayenne S. It is the first '04 model in the US. It has a ton of nifty gadgets, and it handles like a sport sedan, not a SUV. I was a little unsure about it, but after driving around for an hour, I can honestly say that I really like the car. I will post pics tomorrow when it's light out.

Looks sweet. But how is that the first one in the US? I saw one on the road about 3-4 weeks ago.

It is the first 2004 model, the others were all 2003 models

Amazing car, nice colour choice as well.

Still not so sure on the Cayenne's styling, but it sure has presence.

Ah. So the '03 model run was only like a couple months or what?

DOPE!!! i blew one away the other day =)

i guess he was just breaking her in though, gave him a thumbs up. ...later that day i saw a turbo version...we both looked at each other and nodded...so far the cayanne owners are much more grounded then the 996tt owners.

Yea the 03 run was a few months. Its no turbo, but its also for a 50 year old woman (my mom) so it's kinda pointless. If my dad got it, he would have gotten a turbo, but he opted for the RS 6 :)
On another note, anyone got an suggestions for a weekend car? My dad is thinking about a turbo (996 or used 993) or 360 or gallardo or GT40....any other ideas or opinions on the mentioned ones?

as for opinions on the cars your dad is looking at, its not like these are $20,000 that the majority of the public buys, they are $100+ cars that are all well built. But you do mean a new GT40 right? That will be cool I think.

You sure your dad doesn't want to donate to the "Dentite Scholarship Fund"?

All those cars are sick. 360 is about my favorite car period, so if he can afford that, I'd go for that. That or a 996TT.

Gallardo, Its an impressive car. Nice styling, and the V10 has got to be amazing, with 500 Bhp, and it's cheaper than a modena..
Nice Cayenne, i like the colour. :)

And your dad made the best choice!! u see the latest C-D? The S4 and Rs6 blew Merc and Bimmer away.. haha! :)
I love the Rs6 so much i could :buttsex: it!! ARGH!! Gallardo too!!

Damn.. The Vw group is comignout with some nice cars.. :) u can always trust Audi and Porsche to do a good job..

Oh, and if i ever go to the US, can i stay at ure house? Just washing the cars would do me pleasure! :big grin:

HAH! Very bloody cool, you stole my colour though :wtc:

Oh, and being the only (or maybe one of the few) black person on this board - GET SOME DECENT WHEELS. Porsche brakes are meant for two things - to be used, and shown.

I agree as long as those wheels have no association with the letters D-U-B. :)
