I've been putting off getting my idaho state DL and that's what was holding me back from picking up the gun. I could have had my wife do it but I wanted to. Yea, I've lived in idaho for 4 years and have been using my WA DL. :mamoru:

I also wanted to maybe wait because I know 9mm is hard to find and I didn't want to burn my free month at the range. But I couldn't wait any longer so we just went and picked it up. and what's better? The gun store got a shipment of 9mm in today so I actually got to shoot it.:bowdown::bowdown:

First impressions, damn easy to shoot, accurate, great ergo's nice easy recoil. The wife didn't like the reversed grip for some reason (how it came stock) so we'll probably try it flat. Anyway, time for some pics.

    and my target.

Bottom left is from 7 yards, rest are 10. Don't even ask what happened on the top right.

Oh and I have to adjust the rear sight.

Congrats, glad you like the pistol. What about the grip is reversed? Why do you think you need to adjust the rear sight?

There is a removable insert in the grip, flip it around and it will be flat. and the rear sight needs to be adjusted because I had to aim way low to even get on target.

Are you putting the dot on the front sight where you want your shot or are you using a six o'clock hold?

The target sits right on top of the front sight. Well, that's how I was taught in the military. idk what a six o'clock hold is.

Target sitting on top of sight post is six o'clock hold.

Ah ok.. Yea, I had to shoot at the very bottom of the target and you can see my groups are towards the top. Def needs to be adjusted.

and I got lucky with the trigger too, I've heard these guns can have a gritty trigger from the factory... Mine is smooth as butter.

Funny thing that happened while at the range... The wife and I were getting set-up with targets, loading the mags etc and the there was one other guy to our left... He poped off a round and it was loud enough that my wife jumped.. We were both like, wtf is he shooting.. :ugh: So I stepped back to look and it was an SR9  I guess we were just used to shooting outside and it sounded a hell of a lot louder. It was cool though, we took off our hearing protection and talked about SR9's for a bit. :wiggle:

I could never do the Six'o'clock hold with pistols. I've always shot pistols with both eyes open and simply place the image of the front sight directly over the target. Never had a problem with getting confused on the occasion that I shoot left-handed.
