used it in the bowling pin shoot and won first place, its a nice gun. I got 4 pins in 14 seconds.

Also got my trophy cup back in from getting worked on, it had hammer problems.

pythons are really nice but too expensive right now......i bought a 4" 1979 Colt Python off a friend for 650. It was hardchromed and had the hammer jeweled and just has some light pitting along the topstrap underneath the chrome finish. He explained it wasnt a collector piece, just a damn good shooter python and thats all i really wanted. Since i work w/ him he made it even more worthwhile and put on a set of original rosewood python grips with the package. He is a colt collector and had two sets of them and gave me one. The grips alone are worth over 200 so i basically got the gun for 400 dollars. Finally he included two HKS speedloaders loaded up with .357 magnum defense rounds and gave those to me as well.

    Not bad for 650 eh?

Sorry to hijack the thread lol...congrats on your 8" snakegun

there is a difference in the serial numbers between the old ones and the ones made after a gap in production. If you own a blue book it says in there.
