And I must say it's the finest damn phone they've ever made. The screen is large and beautiful. Best of all it doesn't wash out in sunlight. The camera is of very good quality and the look and feel of the phone is first rate. Battery life is very good too. RF performance is amazing too- it seems to pull in and hold onto a signal better than most of the other phones in the AT&T lineup. On a few little niggles though:

There just isn't enough internal memory. 2mb fills up real fast. I maxed mine out on the first day with only a few ringtones and pictures. The voice volume isn't too terribly high and there's no speakerphone.

Other than that, it's a very, very, very, very good phone, worlds better than the T616/610.

:ugh: i dont know what you're talking about but its basically the same phone as the 610/616 just a different case. the camera sucks royally. its not a true 480x640 resolution either. it takes a picture in the standard 3 something x 2 something then software on the phone resizes the picture. the screen is the same thing as the 610/616 too. the only positive that i found on the phone when i took one home from the store was that the ringtones are extremely loud

T616 only does that shit 10 seconds after you power on the phone.

watch for the US version of the Nokia 6230 ( http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/6230 ). I have the non-US version (doesn't have 850 MHz) and I love it.

I've had the T68i, T616 and Nokia 3650 and the 6230 is my favorite so far. Snappy navigation, MMC card slot for pics and MP3's and videos and java apps, etc. Lets you use any MP3 you like for ringtones and alarms. EDGE data compatibile (up to 153 kbps), bluetooth, 640 x 480 camera with much better picture quality than the T616. Even has an FM radio and plays MP3's and AAC's. Also records video too, though I haven't tried it out yet.

Honestly, compared to the other three GSM phones I have, the only thing I would liked to have seen on the 6230 that it doesn't have is the Symbian OS like on the 3650.

The coolest thing about the phone (to me, anyhow) is that it has pretty much everything, but it's in a very small form factor and doesn't stick out like the size and odd shape of the 3650 or the metallic colors of the SE models.

The 7610's gonna be a huge phone. I carried a 3650 for awhile and just got tired of the huge size. The thing I like most about the T637 is that it's just as small as my 3100 and has the features I want and use :)

Check out the 6230. It's pretty much identical in size to SE's T600 series phones and it's a lot better phone, IMHO.

Also much more expensive since it isn't readily available here. But it is a very nice phone.

It's showing as "coming soon" on Nokia USA's web site. Once the US version is out, the price will be much lower than the unlocked Eoro versions available right now.

Lower, but still expensive. bluetooth, mp3 playback, 2 minute video recorder, edge, not cheap features.

I believe the screen on the 630/7 is supposed to be better than the 610/6 series because it's a TFT screen (not totally sure about that). Some people on howardforums have swapped screens from the 630 to a 610.

I may be looking into getting a 6230 also. May just wait for the 6230b to come out so that the price drops on the 6230. I think I'll be using it with T-Mobile.
