Bore is like new condition just need to have the headspace checked due to the fact that the bolt does not match.

169 I was gonna send in my C&R then I would have to wait and pay 30 plus to ship it from AIM. I just handed them my permit and walked out.

You have to get a bent bolt handle if you want to mount a scope.

that isnt a rifle you want to put a scope on. you have to drill into the receiver to put the pins in.

There is one you drift the rear sight pin out and then clamp the scope mount on.

I was gonna say that you can put a scout mount on it, but you beat me to it. I don't know if you'd even want to mess with a scope on a M44 anyway. I have one on my 91/30, but my M38 is irons all the way.

$169 is pretty high. I got my M38 for $112 to the door from AIM. Why would it have taken 30 days from them to you? Location maybe?

That one is in pretty good shape, but for $165 I got my M44, 440rds of ammo, 24 Hollowcores, and tax, its probably in about the same shape.

I looks like a really nice rifle from the pictures. I don't doubt that at all. I was just commenting on the price. It's a little high, and I was wondering if the fact that he is from CT is why it would have taken 30 days for it to come from AIM. I get mine within a week and I'm in OK.

30 Days for my C&R FFL to come in. This one was in good shape and was there.

i'm of the opinion that you're the only one who needs to be happy with the price. i spent more than i had to for my m44 too, but i was able to walk out that day with it and i was buying from a local small business dealer. everyone demanding the absolute lowest rock-bottom price is part of what drives some of the lower volume dealers out of business.

I'm all for people trying to make a buck. If I see something I want I'll pay a few extra bucks and get it from someone who I like. My problem with a lot of small dealers is they seem to try and take advantage of uneducated people. I saw a guy trying to sell an AK for $750 the other day :ugh:.
