please and thanks
even if you hate it, please pick one.
the contrast is too harsh in 1.
i like the detail on the dead whatever they are more
this is a common theme with everone ive asked. half like 1 the other half likes 2
#2 lacks detail
even though the contrast is harsh on the first one, I kinda like it over the second one. Works well IMO.
i'd prolly also like the 1st one if you got rid of the contrast overkill.
honestly... i dont know the details about PP and i tend to use the presets that LR comes with. (this will probably make 99% of you go :uhh
ill see what i can do, but #1 used the 'high contrast' preset and #2 used 'low contrast'
set the picture to the high contrast, then adjust to what you like w/ the contrast slider. The preset is not the 'end all, be all' to the pic. Usually, thats just a start.
nader get a book on LR2. I did and it helped a lot
ya im trying that now with everyoens comments and ill post up a redone shot with lower contrast
what book u get?
I've only read like half of it, because I fear knowing the more complex shit right now. I fear it, because I'm afraid I'll end up spending like 10min/pic processing it. Right now I try to keep it under 30sec if I can.
Lots of great tips in the book, like how to do shit better. For instance, did you know that the white balance is best set by using the dropper on a light gray area? Shit that like I didn't know.
i dont even know where the hell else to change it other than on the rright side
im looking in to courses at a local cam shop around here. but to get into the LR one you need to have the first 3 courses done first.
thanks for the book link though
1. framing is cleaner.
I am not an expert but it is a bit too soft.
