Trying to decide between Aimpoint ML3, Eotech 512, and the Millet DMS
what will you be using the gun for?
Mostly ~100 yards, sometimes 2-300
acog or 1-4x scope
ta11 is more than double the weight of the ta33
eotech > * when you consider price, function, and form.
Nah, I've heard WAY to many stories of them failing during classes to consider using one. Aimpoint or Acog for me.
link? I have heard them to be among the most durable.
no link but people i've spoke to who have attended Pat Rogers carbine course said 50% of eotech's failed
I've never seen anyone I would view as credible say the eotech is more durable than the aimpoint. The feeling I get is that the current revision eotechs might have fixed a lot of the problems and be equal at best.
I dont think there's a right answer other than try as many of them as you can and get your favorite.
i got to play with a valdada 3x25 QCB the other day and thats what i think im going to get now
where are aimpoints made?
sweden i believe
ive been researching this for a couple weeks and thats the consensus i've come up with
i'll probably buy an EOTECH and use it and my fakepoint and if i like the fakepoint more i'll buy a real aimpoint, otherwise will keep the eotech
i`ve only played with Eos*had 4,now 2*
though,i`de like to own and acog of some sort.maybe down the road.
what i would do,is go to a local shop and piss with them for a bit.
Acog or Aimpoint
Well, I only own one, and haven't put enough rounds through it to feel comfortable making a blanket ruiling... But so far I am more than pleased with mine.
The only complaint I've really heard was battery life... And it's not that big of a deal to change batterys every few months. I've got an extra pair in my VFG for an emergency situation.
acog costs too damn much.
They serve totally different purposes.
ACOG if you have the money.
check out valdada
I'd damn sure like to have the ACOG if I had the bank. And to tell you the truth The Eotech is really for less than 100 yds without the magnifier.
Anybody recommend something with lighted recticle greater than 4x?
