    im trying to learn how to use php sessions and ive been through a couple online tutorials.
    I understand that the first thing u must do is call session_start() before anything else.
    So what I did is created a simple php page with just the following in the file:

    <?php session_start(); ?>

    when I run the file through my apache, i get a whole lotta errors

    Warning: session_start(): open(/tmp\sess_063519cb246e00632bf5b683c280f707, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in C:\Program Files\Apache2\htdocs\log\test.php on line 1

    Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at C:\Program Files\Apache2\htdocs\log\test.php:1) in C:\Program Files\Apache2\htdocs\log\test.php on line 1

    Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at C:\Program Files\Apache2\htdocs\log\test.php:1) in C:\Program Files\Apache2\htdocs\log\test.php on line 1

    Warning: Unknown(): open(/tmp\sess_063519cb246e00632bf5b683c280f707, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0

    Warning: Unknown(): Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in Unknown on line 0

    can someone help me out? It seems as though i didnt setup something right in my apache or php.ini...

    You need to change the session path in your php.ini file to C:/temp (or something) instead of "/tmp".
