    quite frequently i get a parse error on my closing tag :dunno:

    my pages are using "<?php ?>" to open & close, but i've tried other ways as well, and it always points to the closing tag line. is there something before the closing tag i'm forgetting?

    for example, i have a simple mysql query update, then
    mysql_close();
    ?>

    but i'm getting a parse error on the last line, ?> I'm using Dreamweaver to edit these, so i thought Dreamweaver was marking them up oddly and putting in a line return or something, but when i open the file in a standard text editor, there's nothing goofy going on.

    wtf gives? thanks

    php doesn't always tell the truth about what error the line is on either, in general it's around that area but not neccisarily on that specific line.

    parse error on the last line usually means you forgot a { or }
