    hithar,

we'll im writing a little php msg board, for no reason really. with my limited php knowledge ive mangaged to whip up something which has turned out more like a shoutbox then a msgboard. mainly due to the lack of threads.

    http://www.tardcarnival.org/post/board.php

i was thinking to add threads.. give each thread, when created, a threadID then assign each post to a thread :/ or something. hehe.

what do you all think of my efforts so far

:coold: Yeah, your idea of having a thread ID for each thread, then assigning each post to a thread sounds like it should work fine. I'm guessing that's roughly how commercial boards like vB do it.

For the signup, you might want to add password confirmation, it's a good thing to have to make sure people don't fuck up their passwords.
