is there anyway to output an error message from this function?
currently I am not being able to send mails..according to phpinfo() everything seems correct, but when I try to send mail I get nothing, just a blank page..even with the simplest of codes, if I put it as an if it shows the mail function hasn't been succesful but it doesnt give me an idea of what is the error.

anyone know how can I see the specific error ?

do you have a mail server, and is your php.ini configured properly? Secondly, why the fuck are you using such a shitting function as mail() which is prone to spoofing and spam... Any good mail server should reject a mail() call.

Use a socket connection to an SMTP server.
