    I wanna create an online catalog of images with each image numbered for organizaiton. I want to be able have a php page with php code to display the product id's and images, and each time the mysql database is updated, the "catalog" page is updated based on the database.

    ok so a database would be setup like this:

    pictureID (auto inc, unique)
    filename (varchar(50))
    description (text)

    then the php page would pull that info out, and whenever u add more to the db, it will add it to the page dynamically

    Here are some functions you may want to look up at php.net. These are the basic functions you would need to set up what you're trying to do.

    mysql_connect()
    mysql_select_db()
    mysql_query()
    mysql_fetch_array()
    mysql_fetch_object()
    etc...

    I use the first four functions on all the php/mySQL pages I make, but there are a ton of functions related to mySQL.
