Thesse are just 6 randomly selected from the 45 or so that I processed.

I am posting this solely for C&C, I dont need your opinion of the car, or anything, I just wanna become a better photographer.

    Thanks in advance.

whats going on with his wheels/tires? looks like they arent seated properly

  3. I dig the last one, could be cleaned up though but I like the idea (even though it's not an original). :coold:

  4. Spacers, mexicans use them so when they lean out of their door as they're driving down the rows of the fields to snatch lettuice. If they have spacers and they fall out of their car they wont get run over :mamoru: :o

Its a VW thing, using a skinny tire on a really wide wheel.

Most people dont like it, some people do.

Did you use a tripod for the first two cause they look more blury than I would expect them to. I like the last one the most, it looks really clean. As for the moving shot, I think it wouldve benefited if you had used a slower shutter.

First thing you should do is take away the borders, and judge the pics by themselves.

    1. connect the camera to an mount that attaches to the car (must be clear and made of lexan)

    2. put the wheels on casters

    3. have some friends with clothing that match the background push the car sideways

    4. shoot with a really slow shutter speed

Probably sounds obvious, but the non-moving background showing through the windshield ruins the motion shot. It's a hard thing to fix, I know, I've let that slip many times.

like the shots, hate the wheels. the only thing bad I found in any of the shots was the lack of blur in the back window when everything else was blurred.

Well I'm glad the only thing you found wrong was a post processing thing.

And I have no idea how to fix it, every time I try to do the back window it looks goofy :hs:

to be honest I hate the last one, looks like you are going for the "drifitng" or "motion" effect but it really throws it off with there being no driver.

most of your highlights are blown out, its very distracting in the first few shots. Really really takes away from teh white golf in that picture.

Location kills the shot for me. All the trees make for bad bokeh and terrible reflections. The only keeper would be the motion shot but your shutter speed is too fast. Take it down to 1/60th or slower.

Am I missing something... if you did exactly as you said, then why is the background not blurred in the rear window (along with the reflections on the hood and windshield)?

Because the thread starter actually simulated this by doing a blur in photoshop.
