    Found this link on sportsshooters...

Obviously opinions will vary by person, but I've got to admit that I get angry just watching it. The ignorance by law enforcement and even the general public is almost unbelievable... blanket an activity as suspicious and threatening without any info :ugh:

Is this the one of the guy taking pics of the turn styles?

If so.. I'm torn. Yea, he was well within his rights, and there's no problem letting the LEO know.. but he was kind of a dick about it....

It's nice to know cops feel like they can make up their own laws to detain you.

well.. technically they can detain you for anything they deem suspicious... but I know what you're saying.

Carry around a copy of the Photographers Bill of Rights. Hand it to them if they give you shit (they'll refuse to read it saying they know the law) and say "I know my rights here, maybe you should too."

Then be all like "step up. Whut!"

One of my best friends is Sri Lankan and gets all kinds of racist shit from people. In the most liberal capital ever too. Madison, WI.

I don't know why people who "know their rights" insist on being fucking douchebags. It will NOT get you out of a sticky situation.

These guys are total asshats and do FAR FAR FAR worse for photographers rights than they help.

He was very obviously down there TRYING to have a confrontation so he could record it and put it on youtube and be an asshole. I hate that kind of shit.

He should just go back into his hole and stop fucking it up for the rest of us because every photographer that officer faces now he is going to assume is just as much of a dick as the one he dealt with here.

dawt... you act respectful and explain what you're doing right off the bat and there are no issues... be an asshole that does nothing but say "I'm not doing anything illegal, I know my rights" is going to do nothing but piss the cop off and he'll take it out on every photographer he sees... My theory is this is why cops hate skateboarders so much...

I think cops hate skateboarders because it's dangerous for everyone around them.

    watched first minute....
this could of all been solved by simply answering the cops question "who are you and what are you doing"

instead the photographer tries to annoy the cop as much as possible.

Photographer is a douchebag. I really don't see what the cop has done wrong, only that the terrorist thing is a little :hsugh:

    What the fuck?

"It's not illegal to take photos on the metro"
    "Did I say it was?"

Then the video replays when the cop says it was against metro policy as if that is the same as against the law.

    What an idiot.

Infact, all of the captions are petty and childish - cop says 'planted bombs' and the caption has to point that he is slightly wrong, when the essence of what he is saying is right
