    Went out shooting today.

    http://www.bjjphotos.com/jshon_feb09/index.html

tell me how you like them...

I still don't know how to hotlink from my own flash gallery :wtc:

I was trying to think of the stuff from the OneLight video and apply that knowledge, I was satisfied with the shoot took about an hour total.

My u-u-u-u-mberlla fell over too and broke :(

with all the trouble you go through to host the slideshow, why don't you just upload to flickr, smugmug, or some other site and post img tags like 99% of the people here do? :dunno:

It just seems like a hassle, I upload directly to lightroom and then light room is a FTP and it uploads it directly to my site. It takes me two steps. Is there anyway i can do that with flicker? I have never used it before.

What don't you like about, I thought they were easier to navigate through. Do explain.

I see your point if you're the only one looking at it along w/ your clients. There's no easy way than to copy the link (and size of the pic) you want from flickr and post it here. Pain in the ass, but not too time consuming apparently, ton of people (including myself) do it. :dunno:

aside from the flash gallery, im not feeling any of the images. she looks out of place. nothing really stands out. and its ok to have her look directly at the camera.

Okay, so how can I improve it?

And she didn't feel comfortable looking in the camera, she is really shy.

so hard to take images of a person that is shy. first ask what she wants the pictures for, and then on that aspect. but the location is just to how you would say cliche. Emo looking girl sitting all by her lonesome in this drab part of town.

try to spice it up, or go with the look and really make it look sad and compelling.

that grungy looking wall has potential but i feel it is under utilized, and the flow of the images dont really work, one scond she is against the wall then she has her head next to some plantlife.

Its not a light stand its a BMX bike stand holder thing that props up a bike so you can work on it. It happens to holder my 42' reflector in any weather condition! lol So I use it instead of a lightstand.

i have to admit, thats pretty cool.

as for the pictures, they have a nice clean look technically... its just with everyone jumping on this strobist/one light fad, its really hard to make your photos stand out, and i think thats the case here. theyre decent potraits, but weve all seen these shots a million times before. its time for people to step up their creativity

The all look like behind-the-scenes shots as if you were doing these while someone else was shooting.

Yeah, I think the model looking away thing works better when you're in front of them and they're not looking. The girl looking straight on and you from the side does look like youre just snapping as someone is shooting the actual thing.

They look better than most of the other stuff you've posted :bigok:

But I agree with the others, I want her to look at the camera sometimes...

This is the newer version of it. Same concept. It can hold A LOT of weight.
