I am looking to get a phone that will allow me internet access and POP3 email accounts (2-3 different accounts).

I basically need something that will allow me to recieve various emails with attatchments (word, excel) and allow me to edit those attachments and email them back to sender.

I have a verizon phone (e815) which is paid for so I dont need any voice plan on this new phone.

What would be the best/most inexpensive option for a phone with just a data plan on it. I used to have a sidekick, but that won't allow the MS office stuff I am looking for.

I was looking at the Cingular 8125 or 8525 but I wanted to come ask here for some suggestions. I am not concerned with who the carrier is, I just want something that will do what I need it to do and allow me to purchase just a data plan.

Also would like to be able to sync to my Mac (iCal)

    any help ?

I ended up getting the cingular 8525.

Got the 39.99 voice plan and the unlimited data plan.

I am pretty sure i will be happy with it.

I can hook you up with a UTStarcomm 6700 for $249 after rebate, put it on a 10 minute voice rateplan that is free. Then $29.99 a month for unlimited nationwide no roaming charge data plan. This is through alltel, so you can use alltel's, verizon, and sprints data network.
Just if you decide to return that cingular within the 15 day satisfaction...

I heard about this the other day. Kinda pricy, but it seems pretty cool. There's a quick rundown from gizmodo.com below...
