anyone else looking forward to it? I am a bit apprehensive... I don't think anyone will ever be able to top Colm Wilkinson. And I would love to see a movie that actually TRIED to recreate the extent of the disfigurement of the Phantom, not just put a half-mask on a supermodel-like actor. In the book the phantom was more like a walking corpse than anything alive.

I saw the play about 10 years ago, & have been waiting since then for a movie version... although I am a little afraid it won't live up to my memory of it & will forever scar me :hs:

I'm sure I'll go see this, I'll drag either the fiancee or 12xalt to it

sure, that would be nice about trying to create the monster, however from that link you posted, this is clearly a movie made to follow andrew llyod weber's musical

and yes, I'll gladly get shuffled along into the theater with you my darling pixie

the phantom's voice ruined the film for me

his acting was fine, but music of the night has always been seductive and sexy, he butchered it :(

I understand changing music a little, and voices, etc, but the difference between this phantom and any other I've ever heard was such a huge difference, typically when the phantom sings I get goose bumps, but not this time, I got sick to my stomach instead
