    Apparently people are having things that they post here used against them in OT. This is unacceptable, and this behavior seeks to undermine everything that we stand for here. These abuses are causing people to be afraid to be open and honest here, and to put it bluntly: that blows shit balls. We ask the moderators to enforce the rule against using information posted in this forum for the purposes of emotional torture in the other forums.

  3. I've noticed other members doing this to members who have posted here. It's certainly not right.

    This was my post at the moderators corner...

    "Some people at the Asylum feel that their posts are being critiqued and used against them in other forums. Have any moderators received any complaints recently of such activity".

    {Comments below were paraphrased.}

    Essentially what was said is that the offenders would be warned and if they continued they would get banned.

    We should try and keep sub-forums as confidential as possible.

    It's already in the officlal site rules. Why is there a debate of it? The user should probably be warned the first time, then banned the second time. Mods just need to be on the lookout.

    I think that it should be definite ban material when used inappropriately. That's just not cool.

    If anyone sees that shit, PM the forum mod. Only reason I've never done anything is that nobody's ever pointed it out specifically to me and I never visit those forums.

    Personally, I think that if your thread has been compromised document the situation. Send "all" the facts to a moderator in one package, if he is unbale to resolve the situation, be prepared to send the same information to a super-moderator.
    If everything is legitimate a warning will ensue, the second time the offender will be banned. These are the rules of OT. I think most of the time action isn't taken because the paper trail isn't air-tight.

    You are crying about posting something on the INTERNET and having it brought up later? This isnt a therapy session. Heres a clue, dont post anything here you wouldnt want the whole world reading. We arent all nice people, and we arent all your friends.

    Savage5point0 , perhaps you are ignorant of the fact that Fazle has made Asylum a place to discuss serious issues without getting flamed. I know that that the internet has created a gateway for people to show the true darkness of their hearts, but the Asylum is a gated community. Save your smack for other forums. Your comments are divisive. Follow the rules of the Asylum or you will be banned. (Consider this your warning.)

    This is a positive step toward making the Internet into something more than it used to be. We could all put some effort into becoming more than we used to be.

    Its sad to see people satisfied with status quo, esp. when status quo kinda sucks.
