Now Ive checked some of the routines posted in the sticky at the top but cant seem to find one to fit. Now I know Im goign to get flamed but its a forum so really, who cares. Anyway, Im looking for someone to give me an idea of a decent workout. The workout will be a 1 hour workout at the gym for 2 days a week. Im mainly looking to work my upper body/torso but also want some lower body workout. Can anyone point me in the right direction

If you have two pressing have two rowing, otherwise muscle imbalance time.

Well Id have to say Im going for toned, however Im okay with general fitness as I do alot of exercise generally, just no gym time. As its after christmas Im a bit unhealthy so I was thinking I need to get back to the gym. What would you guys say was an ideal weight for me to start working out and noticing the difference (im 16)

if you have it, you don't need it
if you need it, you don't have it
if you have it, you need more of it
if you have more of it, you don't need less of it
you need it to get it
and you certainly need it to get more of it
but if you don't already have any of it to begin with
you can't get any of it to get started
which means, you really have no idea how to get it in the first place, do you?
    you can share it, sure
you can even stockpile it, if you'd like
    but you can't fake it
wanting it, needed it, wishing for it
the point is, if you've never had any of it... ever; people just seem to know.

it sounds like you need to build a base first before u decide what ur real goals are.

if i were in ur position i would stick with big compound movements at first with a lot of reps to get used to learning the movements...

    maybe

day1: bench press, overhead press, pullups, lat pulldowns
day2: squats, deadlifts, weighted situps or something..

at first you should stick to high reps to learn everything at a low weight. maybe even start with the bar for the first week and also practice the form in ur bedroom next to a mirror and stuff. Then slowly you can start increasing the weight

first couple weeks i would be doing like 12 reps at a light weight...then as you start feeling comfortable with the weights you can cut the reps down to like 8, or 6 if you like.

Good point... do some SLDL or Power Cleans/Snatches instead of the shoulder pressing.
