    straight leg FTW

heavy lifters almost SLD it because any hip movement is wasted effort.

he can use his legs left if he learns to keep his lower back straight and round his upper back

at least i think i'm right on this :dunno:

It just depends on the person. Big time squater prefer sumo because they can use their leg power more. People with really strong backs SLD it instead. It just all depends.

I'm pretty sure a vid was posted here when a guy did a 900lb deadlift conventional. it was pretty stiff legged.

it just makes no sense to have extra hip movement if you can just semi SLD it

not an actual SLD... just similar to SLD

looks like his low back might be rounded, but that could just be the angle.

i try to put the bar as close to my shins during the lift. But at the end of the movement.. i just drop it freely instead of a controlled drop like in the video.

you want it to pull up in 1 motion

if putting it at your shins means you lift it OUT and then back in (to go around your knees) then no go.

i put the bar a few inches away from my shins

I put it close to my shins to,but I lift straight up and my shins getthemselves out of the way as I come up (IE I don't push the bar foward around them.) Is that bad form? It feels really solid to me.

i say the guy who deadlifted 600x10 has better form.. never saw the video but in the end.. 600>400. For me the best form is the form that allows me to lift the most weight and have it be a legal lift.
