I've been hearing from lots of people that 10-20g will do the trick in replacing your PWO whey shake.. They said that PeptoPro is the only supplemental protein that they are taking now and that they feel that they've gotten great results.

Even though you are taking about 1/4 of the amount of whey you'd normally use, it supposedly evens out because of the amount of absorption. (i.e. if you take in 2 scoops of whey protein, only so much will be absorbed... if you take in about 20g of PeptoPro, all of it will be absorbed)

Do you think they are upping the protein elsewhere in their diets to make up for the "lost" protein?

    Thoughts? Opinions?

    Timber? Pur? Andrew_P????

Is that any different than BCAA's? Their site isn't that helpful.

    hearing conflicting things...

I saw on TP's forums that Doug said that Pepto isn't meant to replace your supplemental protein and that it is really in a category of it's own... like you should think of it more as an insulin booster rather than a protein. What are your thoughts?

If I were to try this, should I still consume the amount of protein that I do daily on top of the pepto, or should I get rid of most (if not all) of my supplemental protein excluding peptopro? when i talk about excluding and including proteins, please note I am only talking about protein that is consumed in the form of shakes, which, for me, comes out to be around 50g per day

it just replaces your whey for pre/during/post workout nutrition and you only need 10-20g's of it to = 40-70g's (or something like that)

it's basically protein that you can take in ultra fast and absorb very well
