    That as well as the type the pirate a copy of Dreamweaver and then think they know everything :mamoru:

    My dad in his retirement maintains a few sites for local organizations. He has some guy that wants to edit a page, kept bugging him, so he sent him all the files, told him to edit it, then he'd integrate it. Guy couldn't even figure out how to load an HTML file into Dreamweaver.

    :rofl: I had this happen with one of my clients. He had some dumb bitch that wanted to "keep updating" the site with Dreamweaver.

    He wouldn't shut the fuck up about it so I finally just handed over the files to him and took my name off the site. Needless to say, it's all fucked up now. :o

    Frontpage... brings back bad memories. :rofl: And I think in most cases Dreamweaver is even worse.

    Hand code in Notepad++ :bigthumb:

    No nothing can beat the useless amount of extra mark-up that Frontpage put in lol. Net Objects Fusion with it's absolute positioning through nested tables and clear images was fairly bad too. lol

    As for Notepad++, I'm just a sucker for Textmate/Coda instead for some reason :o Too bad I don't have a Mac.

    I always use notepad ++, notepad.exe if i am desperate.

    I have dreamweaver, aptana, and expressions (eww) and Visual Studio. But over 95% of my time is spent in notepad ++

    I have a feeling some of the CSS3 stuff is going to be the new blink in the next few years.

    I hate every WYSIWYG. Even Dreamweaver, despite people arguing for it's codeview, it's still a bulky POS.

    I'm a fan of light weight text editors with the basics of syntax highlighting, line number, code completion, file management, etc. My weapons of chose on Windows is UltraEdit32, and TextEdit for OSX.

    There are many reasons why I don't like both Front Page or Dreamweaver. Them being a WYSIWYG is among one of the main reasons.

    dont be a hater.
    he was just sayin :p

    anyway, we may hate wysiwyg applications all the time, but, we cannot discount their ability to teach newcomers simple code.
    Split viewing code is one of the easiest ways to learn, but, also has its disadvantages since frontpage/dreamweaver can bloat them up too.

    Judging by the first post, it sounds like it was a Front Page hate thread in general. Front Page is garbage, for many reasons, including it's WYSIWG capabilities. Just like Dreamweaver. Just not as bad.

    It's of relative interest. I've seen Dreamweaver do similar things to people who rely on the WYSIWG editor. I guess the point I'm making is that it seems all bulky WYSIWYG app have similar problems. Some applications are just better at it.
