what do you think of it? I am in the market for a new camera -looking around at the D80, XTI, and K20D (10.2 MP model)

Nikon or Canon would be easier if you're planning on making a hobby out of it. Easier to find rental glass etc...

are the pentax and olympus lenses compatible?
to be honest ive heard nothing bad about this camera, be sure to try it out in difficult lighting and high ISO modes before buying it

just from a used lens availability standpoint, i'd go canon or nikon. used glass will save you some money and glass for the 2 more common systems is easier to find. :dunno: if you have a bunch of old pentax glass that you want to be able to use with your new camera though, then i'd stick with pentax.

pretty sure they have new lineup of rather expensive really nice lenses, perhaps on thier website :noes:
i cant see it as a bad investment. the company is going to keep coming out with new stuff, they have been around so they arent going to abandon thier customers like konica did.
