A&P pentax k10 or a used nikon d100

    my boss got a d200 and wants to sell his d100 he hasn't said a price yet
    or should i buy a pentax k10
    i have no lens for either so i'm starting from scratch

    The K10D is a very very good camera except for one MASSIVE flaw: it completely sucks ass in JPEG shooting and the images are seriously soft. It might be fixed in a firmware update, or it might not. And it shoots fine in RAW....

    So, with that in mind, I wouldn't recommend the K10D and I'd have to suggest the Nikon. There's some other give and take though. Look at the specs of each on DPReview.com for info.

    actually after switching the k10d into bright mode the jpgs that come out are very punchy and sharp. I have used one, its comparable to my 30d. only thing is it sucks ass @ 1600. which is why i didn;t buy one.
