    I was just discussing this with some of the guys in my National Guard unit. They are for the changes being suggested. Especially the 12 month deployment and deploying as a unit. One guy was attached 1st Cav for 20 months on a deployment. He said it would have been easier to get into a groove if he was with people he knew and trained with regularly.

    Now I feel like I'm an active duty soldier just without all the benefits...This should be fun. A lot of employers are going to be pissed. Haha...

    Dont that feel nice.....reservist get a swift kick in the nuts because we are supposedly "cheaper"

    Ill go with the lifting of the time limits but in return I would love to get my retirement after 20 years as a reservist.....thats all i want :eek3:

    Yeah, instead of waiting until you're about 60. I think that's mainly why some old timers stay in and keep the upper enlisted slots. Now everyone is up for grabs. I think I'll be deployed again when I go back home. My old unit (I think) is getting ready to deploy even though they won't admit it.
