Perhaps they will rival the big two. k100d got a great review, and the k10d is up next.

Pentax will never run with the big two. They are too quirky to sell in those volumes.

I have an ist*DS and it's a great camera. Perhaps the best part about it is that it just gets out of the way and allows you to take photos.

I just looked over that review of the K100d and was a bit disappointed to see that Pentax moved from the pentaprism to a pentamirror. While Canon and Nikon have always used the pentamirror in their non-pro DSLRs, the pentaprism in the Pentax DSLRs embarrassed everything else in the price range.

Although not as bright as a pentaprism, the mirror in the K100D is still pretty bright.

It's good to see another Pentax shooter on the forum.
