man what a waste of time, i borrowed this clay bar, so i had no instructions. I followed what i heard from off-topic, which was to use a bit of water and soap and move it along the paint. so thats what i did, but theres still shit on my paint! when i looked on the bar i saw a bit of dirt, wasant too much and the bar was getting deformed, the hell is that! i used the mothers clay bar....either i'm doing something wrong or that shit sucks...peice of crap, good thing i didnt buy it.

You have to pre-mix a capful of soap with a spray bottle full of water and spray it liberally onto the paint before you clay, if the clay begins to stick to the paint, spray more of the lube :)naughty: ) to make it easier to use on the paint. If this isn't yeilding results, you must be missing something.

As far as the clay "deforming," it's supposed. It's clay.

Mother's clay bar isn't that good. Clay Magic's is better.

BTW, you only need to clay if after washing your car the paint doesn't feel smooth and grit free.

Clay Magic is available at AutoZone, at least in my area.
