    Here's two pedialyte substitute formulas:

This recipe may be used in place of an over-the-counter product (Pedialyte), IF followed EXACTLY:
    3 Tablespoons of Sugar
    3/4 teaspoon of Salt
    1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1 Cup of Orange Juice (I don't use this)
    1 Quart of Water.

Pour together and shake well, being certain that all dry ingredients are fully
dissolved and mixed. (Keep refrigerated and and warm to body temperature
before use and use within 48 hours).

    -------------------------------------------------------

    2 quarts water
    1-teaspoon baking soda
    1-teaspoon salt
    7 Tablespoons sugar
    1 packet Sugar-Free Kool-Aid
    1/2-teaspoon salt substitute

The salt substitute and Kool-Aid are optional. As with the others, store in
the refrigerator and warm to body temperature just prior to use.

You can double the formulas if needed.

Better than buying those hella expensive Pedialyte bottles, best to drink during or right after practice to restore the electrolytes lost during sweating because you lose a lot more than just water when sweating. I like to just have a small bottle of it, down it and just drink my normal gallon of water after.

Body has to expend energy to warm the cold fluid you drink

Sodium is necessary for proper rehydration. It's very important so I would definately not put that up there as optional.

nono, this is what I drink during practice lol. And yeah thx for the diet advice, i need to start eating more often, I'm very inconsistent with my eating habits

And I copy/pasted this guys from another website, I usually double/triple the recipe because I assumed it was for babies (since thats what they're usually for) and it really doesn't taste that bad with the kool aid packages. I've been mixing it with gatorade power also lol, donna how that affects it but it sure helps with downing it!
