PDA wireless networking ??

    ive got a hp jornada PPC and i wanna get a wirless lan card so i can have a wireless network at home(serf web, etc) . the ? is can i do this if my dsl modem is usb, also do i need a router or can u just use a wireless access point?

    Yes you can do it, but your main computer has to be on. And you will probably have to use your main computer as a proxy to the access point.

    OK... basically setup a proxy on your main computer, (Sygate comes to mind, but I'm sure there's other ones out there, I think there's a free one at http://www.analogx.com), make sure you have a NIC installed in your computer. Set IP of router and set the gateway of your router to the ip of the NIC. Setup rest of router/AP/WirelessNIC as usual. Oh, and wireless access points I think always have routers built in.

    What brand is the modem? 98% of the modems have both ports.
