I have an i-mate JAM. Its absolutely wonderful *for my needs/usage*

    cons of pda/phones:
-usually bigger than a normal cellphone
-phone functions are not as simple to use
    -not as one-handed
-battery life is bad compared to a cellphone

    pros:
    -can do wayyyy more
-data entry is much easier, especially with a touchscreen/stylus
-basically a computer in a small form factor
    -----full web access
    -----email
    -----manage contacts
    -----listen to music
    -----watch movies
    -----play games

If you don't talk on the phone all the damn time, I would definately recommend a pda-phone. Atleast, that's the main argument that nokia series60 fanboys will use --- its a pda first, phone second. I have no problem with that -- I have Voice Command, which lets me easily voice dial contacts, phone numbers, open programs by voice, etc.

i have a siemens with AT&T Wireless GSM. Very cool. I don't use it as a phone (just use the GPS software on it) because it was too bulky and I don't need a PDA on me at all times, tho.
