hey, i have a prob that i need some help with

i have a gigabyte GA 7VAXP 1394 motherboard which has PCI bue 2.2 pci slots

i also have a tv tuner card that has PCI bue 2.1

when i put the card in my spare pci slot, it doesnt boot

is there any way to make a pci 2.1 card work in a 2.2 slot?

    thanks in advance

Maybe I'm wrong.. but Should be backwards compatible? I.e. USB 1.0 works with USB 2.0...

What OS is on the machine?

They are backwards compatable. Check to see in the bios if there is an option of having it be a plug and play motherboard or a plug and play operating system. What ever the setting is, switch it.
