When someone says dress for an event is "patio casual," WTF does that mean?
khakis, polo and loafers.
but really, i think that person just made that up.
I think so too...but your description is probably right
No idea. If it was summer I'd go cream shorts, leather flip flops and a long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up I guess.
Sounds like some wannabe middle class wanker has made something up for a pretentious bbq in a shitty suburban area.
quite the opposite. he's rather wealthy, has an awesome place on the river, quiet and nice neighborhood, catered event..... oh well. i have an idea how to dress now. thanks
it means pull your khaki shorts up to your armpits
I've been dressing patio casual my entire life.
It's a lifestyle.
Can you give me an example? I gotta wear pants because I have a tattoo on my ankle and am kind of representing my company
I would say Hefner.
Well it all worked out. I wore some khakis and a nice polo shirt untucked and it was perfect. A few folks were more dressed, others less.
Apparently, the host had dress shorts and a Tommy Bahama shirt in mind, but most dressed up a little more than that.
So FYI....if you ever need to dress Patio Casual
If I was hanging out on a patio I would probably be so drunk that I could be super casual.
Maybe even..................too casual.
So I was basically right then
