MMA passing the xguard

    anyone got any tips how to do it, I get in trouble here.

    The best peice of advice I can give you is try to get your sleeve free if they've got that controlled, and try to keep your posture. :dunno:

    my coach specializes in defeating different guards and has beaten marcelo garcia by shutting his x-guard game down.

    look up daniel moraes he has a dvd on how to pass the x-guard

    i wish more people would do it to me because it's a really hard position to escape when someone is good at it.

    i like to control the far sleeve and pass it to my arm that is underhooking the guys leg. Theres a sweep and armbar there and thats all i know :o

    yeah.. they do that. but its not really necessary. its easy to sweep the guy without any kind of hand control

    Well yeah, i figured that much since x works well in nogi. but i was just imagining how screwed i would be if i they were threatening a 3rd pt of base.

    sometimes it helps in a weird way because if hes grabbing your sleeve.. you can grab his. so it helps you balance yourself a bit.. :bigthumb:

    there is this guy online i saw once, apparently people were saying he was THE MAN for x guard AND rubber guard.... youtube- try bravo, eddie.
