amusing to me that I rode TO it in the rain and then rode home from it in the rain in the dark.... :noes:

Hopefully the range portion won't be too bad tomorrow and sunday mornings. I know at least 2 more guys have riding experience and there are 3 very good looking young women taking part. :naughty:

a friend of mine rode to his street test in a torrential downpour. the cop looked outside and said "You rode here in this?" and he said yes and the cop said "then you pass" and wrote up his certificate.

When we took the riding portion, it rained on us a few times, but that kept the good ole' Alabama heat+humidity to a low low. Was actually quite bearable. Good luck, man!

well we got done an hour and a half early with today's session...

The little GZ250 Suzukis we're riding are kinda fun to throw around. I've scraped my share of rubber off the bottom of the pegs that's for sure.

ALMOST dropped it once too..
what a damn dunce I would've been (well, I am anyway).

It's been kinda fun. I've been going back and forth with one of the instructors since classroom last night. I'm probably one of the more confident riders in our group so I'll be a little bit more aggressive in my drills and he constantly gives me shit. Only had to tell me to slow down once. :hs:

    (can't believe I almost droped it... : picard.jpg : )

This is OT...you should know better than to mention good looking women in your thread without pics.

Good luck on the road test!

Jah... I defenitely enjoyed riding a Ninja 250 over the GZ250... Those poor bikes have noooooooooo get up and go juice.

I figured it'd be inappropriate just whipping out the camera randomly. To prevent temptation I took the camera out of my jacket (it's usually always in there) - maybe I'll put it in for tomorrow. I will say, all 3 of them picked it up pretty quick.

I wish I could've had a ninja simply because it'd be so much more useful I think. The GT250 is NOTHING like riding mine.
And it's a good thing they don't have more get up and go. Getting told to slow down once (I wound the shit out of it for the quick braking drill once) and running up on the tails of bikes infront of me in the big oval 3rd gear/engine brake drill right away.

My favorite part about riding the Ninja was the 30 and 20ft weaves. It was the bestest. And then locking up the brakes on the quick braking section was always fun. Just don't be that guy and pull a stoppie out... It was hilarious, but at the same time a little scary for him. But he was on a zx6... He told us in the classroom that he NEVER used the back brake. Our instructors predicted he would pull a stoppie somewhere in the course. And he then learned to use his rear brake...

The other great part about the Ninja 250 was the figure 8 box. It was SOOOO easy with the Ninja. Felt like I was riding a bicycle.

    well that was easy enough....

the big figure 8 box was easy enough. Small one I put a foot down once in practice and then hit it 3 times just fine. The full corner test I caught hell for coming in too hot yet I still stuck the corner. Braking test I came in too fast that it wasn't on his chart apparently.

    *sigh*

none the less, it was interesting. Everyone passed - nobody dropped a bike all weekend in my class which surprised me a little bit.
