Oh, there's a definite possibility. Unless the drink was boiling hot to kill the virus, it would still be on the glass or in the beverage.

even if you do catch it, > 70% of adults have the simplex virus that causes cold sores. some people get badly affected by it, others have a cold sore once every now and then and other people pretty much never get symptoms.

so it's not the end of the world.

Possible, though unlikely. Regardless, it isn't the end of the world. It, as has been said, is a fairly common thing nowadays.

Possible but I am sure you are fine. Cold sore have different stages. If she is in her "shedding" stage it would be more likely. I am sure you will be fine. I got a cold sore when i was little either from someone kissing me or sharing something with me, i was to young to remember. A friend of mine got it when she was little from sharing chapstick with a friend. I am sure you will be fine, if she had an open cold sore on her lip I would be a little more worried, I am sure hers was scabbed over by then. If you do happen to get them, yes it sucks but go to the doctor and get Zovitrax, that stuff has helped me alot.

yep, even young kids get cold sores.

I wouldn't even bother getting tested - either you'll get cold sores or you won't. if you do, use topical cream on it to reduce the symptoms. it's only worth going to the doctor if you're badly affected by them.

I got blood tested at a lab, its 95% accurate, theres a few different kind of tests and only one works good, so make sure you get the good one. i dont know the name of it off the top of my head so if u want it ill find it. i got it for free cuz my insurance paid for it. i doubt u can get an accurate test at a free clinic
