The Johnstown Tribune-Democrat reported that Roger Deem, 56, of Meyersdale, died after falling about 20 feet from a stand in Brothersvalley Township. State police called the death accidental. Hunter Shoots Foot A Pennsylvania Game Commission spokesman said an Irwin, Westmoreland County, man shot himself in the foot with a rifle on Monday in Armstrong County. The man's name wasn't immediately released. Spokesman Jerry Feaser also said Monday's rainy weather made for challenging conditions. He said some hunters likely headed in early, while others stayed out despite the rain and fog. The season continues through Dec. 8.
