Pandorum, truly, a movie this good only comes around like once every 10 years.

Man I was blown away at how good this movie was.

I went in expecting exactly what I got.

A fast, suspenseful, shit your pants scary, action packed, nail biting Sci-Fi Horror flick.

If this is your genre, you gotta check this out. It's really good, you won't be disappointed.

The commercials make me think of all the sci-fi horror movies that came out in the 90's. I don't know anything about it but it doesn't really seem original to me :dunno:

 this movie was NOT fast at all.............actually it was too freaking slow and dimly lit.......half the time you can fall asleep at the black screen with nothing going on.

It's not original, nothing is these days.

Think Aliens meets Event Horizon meets The Descent, and that's Pandorum.

    *semi-spoiler alert*

the horror aspects of this film were annoying to me, as i'm not a big fan of the genre, but the film offered some pretty deep philosophical issues and interesting questions about human psychology that i enjoyed (some of which i felt were pretty fresh for a sci-fi flick)... interstellar travel and human colonization/continuation of our species (and the noah's ark allusion), survival of the fittest and morality (manifested in selfishness or also teamwork), species evolution, psychological disorders in space (especially towards the end: the god complex of the ship captain), etc.

the ending was beautiful, i thought

    I did too.

But probably not for the same reasons. I've always been intrigued a the idea of another earth like planet, and this movie just seemed to make the possibility all the more real. I know they've found planets that they think might be earth-like, but they're like 10,000 light speed years away, and we'll just never know, unless we figure out how to travel by warping space.

    *Semi Spoiler*
Anyways, after seeing this movie, I really wanted it to do well at the box office, cause if it did anywhere near the $10 million mark, it would have raised some eye brows for a sequel, possible "Pandorum 2 - Tanis, A New Beginning", man that would've been on awesome.

sunshine was a half decent movie though. i haven't seen pandorum but everything i've read about it makes me think of battlefield earth met ridley scott and then ridley took a shit, wiped his ass and that paper became the script for pandorum.
