Any input on this? I really like the balckberry, but since it doesn't have a camera it takes away from the attractiveness of the phone. Anyone with personal experience or input of the bang for the buck or value of the phone along with usage features that might outweigh the other that could chime in?

    Treo is 249$
    Blackberry 200$

This would be my first smart phone purchase. I'd use it for internet, brief document overview or editing, organizational purposes with appt. and dates, thats off the top of my head the top reasons. I'd like the phone to be able to sync nicely with a mac and be able to open word/excel/powerpoint presentations if possible. Little things like flash player compatibility and bluetooth for use as a modem for my laptop would be nice too.

I went to check them out and they are both really nice phones from the looks and features. Quality wise the blackberry seems to be a nicely built phone with a large screen, bright/rich colors, great menu and the trackball scroll is one of my favorite features of this phone. Like i said, a major drawback would be the camera since I do use the camera on occasion for videos and pics.

Let me know how you weigh em out. Thanks

From the looks of what you want to do, I would get the treo.

I'm in the market for a smartphone right now (considering the blackberry, treo 755 or mogul). I have a friend who works for sprint, and he said the blackberry is the worst of the 3 quality-wise, and even recommended the motorola Q over it... so I would probably go with the Treo...

:ugh: The Q has the most problems out of any phone sprint offers, then is the treo (although not sure how well the 755 performs). blackberry offers one of the most solid phones out there. I used to work for sprint until recently :o

I own a Treo 750 and I fucking love it, it has all the right items a smartphone should have but the WiFi...that would be nice...but at that price I'm not going to complain. I just need to unlock it.

Go and take a look at the phones yourself. Buildwise the blackberry is well made. Comparing the 8830 to the 700p, I would easily say that build quality on the blackberry edges the 700p.

I read that the 8320 should be available on T-Mobile either this month in July or in August. Not that that helps. :o
