I'm thinking painting my Savage 110 in Artic camo. I don't hunt animals nor people. Mainly range stuff, and will probably be buying another stock eventually. I am wondering what process I should go and the paint I should use?

Some people use Duracoat but I use spray paint and it has held up great. Remember its all about the prep work though. Put the stock in your oven at a low heat to get all the oils out and then wipe down with alcohol. So 3-5 light coats and before you do other colors let it sit 1 day. That is how I did mine and it works out great.

Even though it's a syn stock should I do black as a base coat? 3-5 times dry add foliage then do 3-5 white coats over top? I also can't find anything online about dissasembling my Savage.
