Pains when doing squats

    On the inside of my hip, like in the groin area, it has started hurting when I explode up when doing squats.

    I tried to find a pic to give an idea of where:

    Any of you experience this or know what I could be doing wrong?

    my groin gets sore when i do free squats
    maybee briefs or box squats would help, but ir eally know nothing about this sort of thing

    Yeah I might have to go back to box squats. I did forget to specify that they were free squats.

    how long has the pain gone onm, and how long have you free squated vs. box squated, it could be temporary, and just due to weak groin.

    I noticed the pain the last set of squats I did last Tuesday. This time I noticed it on each set, even the lower weight ones (I'm doing christophers routine).

    I've been on the routine for about 2months now. Before I hadn't squatted in quite some time and when I did it was always box squats.

    I had the same problem, but then I started doing sumo deadlifts and other lower body hip work and it solved it.

    Unless the pain stays for longer than a week or you know you've reaggravated an injury, it's just soreness.

    It doesn't hurt now, only when I'm doing squats. I got worried so cut my leg workouts short.

    As for going wide, I tried a couple different stances. I usually go feet about shoulder width apart. i then tried a little bit smaller and a little bit wider, both still hurt.

    if you're squatting wide you should use groove briefs or else your hip flexors get all tore up. i know mine did
