I'm probably overreacting and it was probably just pressure buildup but it freaked me out.

Was doing leg press and had to grind out the last rep of my set. Was a long rep and hard to finish.

When I locked the safety bar at the end of the rep I felt this really sharp headache pain in the back left of my head.
Continued for ~15 seconds and also my ear on that side was popping a lot like when you go up in elevation.

Sooo... just pressure buildup and its all good.. or..?
    :x:

Thanks, sorry if this is a dumb question :o

if you're a big fella (which i am, was over 400 pounds about 1.5 years ago) you need to get checked for blood pressure, cholesterol, stress test, etc etc full work up. I had to change diet and drop some pounds before my Doctor would give me the green light to lift hard and do cardio etc. my blood pressure was too high, after dropping some pounds and eating well for a couple months i was able to go all out.

it was probably nothing cause you're still alive lol, but it could have be a slow bleeder, brain embolism would suck.

*as a side note and not directed towards you stims + fat people = flirting with disaster (i know you didn't mention anything about stimulants, just figured i'd throw that in here since i think it's so damn dumb for fat out of shape people to speed up a heart that is probably already working too hard just trying to pump blood thru the clogged arteries lol*

I was guessing that would be one of the suggestions.
I held my breath/grunted that last one out.

I know why it happened, I just am worried if its something to be worried about the fact that it happened or not :o

Holding your breath will cause blood pressure to be greater (Valsalva maneuver) and you'll be able to finish your rep. Note that the Valsalva maneuver also has impacts on your ear (popping).
