Ok I'm having some problems with my Autocad drawings. It's locking up autocad but it's only certain drawings in larger sets. The file sizes aren't HUGE but they are bigger. It seems to have something to do with text or hatches in the drawings but I'm not sure. In any event sometimes while it's locking up I get an error message about having low virtual memory and having to increase the paging file size. I've done this and it still happens. What could I do to prevent this from happening in the future with-out changing my drawings.

your autocad program could have a continuous memory/resource leak somewhere - so that no matter how much virtual memory you have it'll get eaten up eventually and then lock up.

check to see if there are any updates/bugfixes to your program.

    What operating system?

How much ram do you have?

-The paging file was set at 1000 but I bumped it up to 1500.
