and no, I'm not posting pics of my man meat.:squint:

anyway, I'm restructuring my packages. My biggest amount of feedback I've gotten is that my portrait packages are a little confusing, so I thought I would restructure them to make them a little more "user friendly"

    Package 1 : $400
    3 pose
    $250 print credit

    Package 2: $550
    5 Pose
    $400 print credit

    Package 3: $ 700
    8 Pose
    $600 print credit

    Print prices

    4 wallets - $10
    4x5/4x6 - $10
    5x7 - $20
    8x10/8x12 $40
    11x14 - $50
    16x20 - $125

    additional charge for canvas.
    ------------------------------------------------------------

    so, what do you think?

print credits seem to the the new hawtness in collecting prepaid commitment money. I like how you are garaunteed a certain amount of money for the prints.

My only real critisim is that on the last package there is a 700 "print credit" so I am left to believe that the sitting fee is reduced from 150 like the other 2 down to 100 bucks? adn with doing 8 poses, you are looking at substantially more time to take these poses that with 5 and 3 poses.

so can they mix and match any print size and any pose and any finish they want?

yeah. here's the old set up

all packages are done in credits.
    1 credit equals
    1-8x0 or 2 5x7 (same pose) or 3 4x5/4x6 (same pose)or 8 wallets (same pose)

    Package 1
    3 pose
build your own package with 15 credits from 3 separate poses
    $400

    Package 2
    5 Pose
    19 credits from 5 poses
    1 - 11x14

    $550

    Package 3
    8 pose
    25 credits from 8 poses
    1 - 16x20 or 3 additional units
    $700

I could change that last one to 550 print credit... thought maybe if I gave teh appearance of getting more for your money, someone might be more apt to go with the larger package, since the pose thing really doesn't matter that much.... I can easily get enough shots for 8 "poses" in a normal portrait setting. This isn't for models or anything like that, more family portraits, and kids pics.

yeah, they can mix match whatever print sizes they want. I decided against that over doing something like set print sizes because I'd rather avoid the headache of people saying. "well, I don't want the wallets, can I get xx 4x6's instead" I've got my print prices high enough that they're still profitable.

cause he is collecting monies up from for prints. it is really 150 sitting fee and 250 paid in advance on prints. I think the print prices are kinda high, since this is not wedding or senior pics but family portraits.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with your old way, but I see a big flaw in it. You dont use language that a Mom can relate to. Dont call it a unit - call it a sheet. you will not longer have confusion. simple

I might drop my prices a little bit, but not to much since it's in line with the other couple of photographers in the area... or I might just add one more package that's more of a budget package, then try to upsell.
