What is a fair price to pay for one of these contraptions in the southeast?

I was just quoted $629 for one. I want one so bad :o

I'm buying a P22 also so my GF can plink at the range with me :hs:

$629 is high by about $100. I paid $519 for my last one.

Actually I don't think the price is THAT terrible. The falling value of the dollar is causing the cost of imports like the P99 to go up. Just look at buds, they're selling the p99's for $612 even. 6 months ago I would have said you should be able to find one for $550 but thats getting to be more of a challenge now.

I just picked up my P99c AS 9mm yesterday. Cost was $600. Spoke to the gun shop guy, said it was a good time I got it when I did, as walther had just raised the wholesale price on them by $50-60, which would be reflected in any more he ordered.

I think the price depends a bit on which model you're buying too... not all P99s are priced the same.

I'm looking for a short-barrel 9mm. Good to know about the wholesale price increase.

I shot a SW99 and have liked the style/feel/trigger about the gun ever since, and I'd rather have the P99 :)

From what I've seen, they have been priced the same, but I'm sure that can vary from store to store.

I've seen full sizes closer to 5, but never seen a compact, especially with the AS trigger, for under $600 :dunno:
