Any of you guys who train do this program? I was thinking about getting into it instead of lifting so much.

I had a friend that got it. He was pretty out of shape. After 3 months he was in shape.

Then he stopped and got out of shape again.

I did one of the work outs with him, it was pretty hard.

I just finished downloading a version made to fit on my ipod touch.

P90x would be more complex than lifting right? It looks more challenging that lifting a 50lb dumbbell

Yeah it's not necessarily a revolutionary workout system by any means, it's taking alot of basics and putting them together. You have a ton of options and can switch it up daily so you don't get bored with your routine and your muscles don't get used to the same exact workout like if you had a set lifting routine for example.

This is a retarded statement. Yes, you are 100% correct it will be more challenging than lifting a 50lb dumbbell because there is def only one way to lift a 50lb db.

threadstarter is a moron and doesnt want to lift weights to get in shape

clearly there is more then one way to get in shape, but quit knocking lifting weights theres more involved then just lifting a 50lb weight cause if it was just that everyone would be big and ripped

When it comes down to it, it's still a weight training program.

What don't you like about lifting so much?

I've done the P90x workouts, and can say that they're no cake walk. They're not the most difficult things in the world either, but they will make you work hard in a timed-manner that requires a faster pace of workout than most people do with a standard sets/reps workout.

You'll def. get a good sweat going. The Legs/Back, Back/Chest and Plyo workouts are great workouts. You're not going to get huge doing them, but that's not the goal for everyone.

Their ab workout is tough as well.

Don't knock it till you've tried it.

I've done P90X. It's great and it works if you dedicate yourself to it 100%, as in doing the workouts and following the nutritional plan. You'll get excellent results. however it's not easy, the workouts are a very difficult if you're not in shape at the beginning.

P90X is for lazy people or people who know nothing about working out, ANY workout program will get you excellent results if you have a nutritional plan and make the effort to workout. That's all it is.

I couldn't stick to it working 10 hours a day+boxing. was way to hard on my body, however i think i'm going to go back to it soon.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

How about the number of days the program is designed for? I just got it, and am about to attempt it. The diet plan is not going to work for me as-is, so I'm gong to substitute a few things.
