My parents computer is about the same as that except its a 350 PII @ 392. They run Windows ME and it can run all that stuff... I mean it is still slow but it works.

It had Windows 98 on it. Trying XP and it's unusable. I think I'm going to try Ubuntu. I did manage to get 384 MB RAM to work just now.

    I'm thinking you're right.

98 apparently wouldn't do what she wanted. She asked for XP, Managed to crank the RAM so I'm trying Ubuntu and also have puppy.

Is Windows 2000 Pro an option? I ran that on an old Pentium Pro 200MHz with 128MB RAM as a fileserver years ago, it was fine.
