So I know that this is the AP forum, but I'm sure that not everyone uses a DSLR camera to shoot pictures (although I'm sure that some do). I was just wondering what cameras people are using. I've got a Kodak V803 and I love it. Anyone else have a regular P&S camera they like to use on the go?

There was a nice Samsung at Target for $119 that got great reviews (down from $149).. I wanted to pick it up before the trip but had zero room for it in the backpack..

I need one though, carrying a DSLR around all the time kinda sucks

S5 IS, bulky but a great camera, you can score one just under 300 if you look hard enough :o

I keep a Canon SD750 around. I find myself using it more for the impromptu video capabilities more than photos though.

Stick to Canon, recently Nikon, and Panasonic.

    I like Panasonic's stuff.

my digital is an a530 and i hate it.
i think my imaginary ideal digital camera would be like the Ricoh GR Digital II, but manual focus only and accept filters without adapter. would look similar to a GIII QL17 i guess. sort of like a marrige of a GR and a R-D1s?
would be at least 10mp with some sort of shake reduction of course

yeah ive seen that thread :o
the ones ive been watching have been going anywhere from $40 to $100, shipping included. Ive learned when buying used cameras on ebay, its best to spend the extra money on one that is in near mint condition, or has just been CLA'd. But I just bought a new camera anyways, so im trying to fight the urge :o and I really need to get my nikon F3 CLA'd before I buy another 35mm

i wouldnt spend more than 50 on one, just too easy to find them in decent shape if something breaks. similar is the complex Minolta Hi Matic, cute camera
what about the high-eyepoint prisim? what is the diffrence, and why arent they all like that? i eye the f3, one of the best nikons ever. i just have 2 slr already and cant really justify buying all new lenses. that and i dont really like learning the odds and ends of a new body.
