So me and my boo were on our way to the mall yesterday. And he has a big truck mind you and we were rolling up to this stop light. To my surprise I see these men in the truck next to us all googly-eyed and acting like little school girls because they could see that we were holding hands....I don't get why they were so suprised by it?
My bf says he doesnt mind pda as long as its not offending anyone else....where do you guys stand with that in relationships? Quite frankly I don't care...If I have to see straight people kissing and groping when they want to then it shouldnt offend them to have to see me either....

    Double standard man.

Being gay just isn't widely accepted yet.
Don't worry though, their ignorance will come back to haunt them.

I'm all about the PDA's... But then again, I'm a lot more 'in your face' than Ferron or Taylor would appreciate.

For me, it depends on where I am. If I'm in a place like Provincetown, I don't have a problem holding hands with my SO. If the crowd is mostly mixed, I'm not totally comfortable. I'm not totally comfortable with it because of gay-hate crimes that I've heard about it. I just don't trust people in general, so for me, it really depends on where I am, who is around me, and how comfortable I am.:o

Well, all I have to say is this: if we had college superlatives, I'm sure I'd get 'Most Likely To Be Bashed'...:o

i commend you and "your boo" for being comfortable with pda. I think we all have this inner homophobia that can keep us from it. The guy i'm dating, tim, once kissed me in the car and then we saw the guys in the car behind us laughing. So i grabbed him and made out, looked at the guys behind and winked. Then a couple seconds later, i sat up in my chair and stuck my butt in tim's face, much to his dismay, but the guys behind us were like noooooo!!!!!! Yeah, it was a bit excessive, but we all got a good laugh. Tim and I pointed out that a) we knew that they saw us and were weirded out by it, b) we didn't care, and c) we have sense of humours too
