A&P Owned myself on vacation

    So we were in Athens for vacation we get all the way to the top of the acropolis pull my camera out....nothing dead battery :wtc: Fully charged it before we left but must have hit the switch and turned it on somehow putting it into my bag, no backup battery either :o Pretty much lost the entire day with no camera, feel free to laugh at me :hs: I need to invest in an extra battery now...lesson learned.

    smart camera for stupid people > stupid cameras who can't turn themselves off if not being used.

    Left my 40d on for a week, pulled it out of the bag saturday and went to shootin, still a full battery after a full day of using it with flash :coold:

    i need to find this "auto shutoff" feature on my d300 and d50. i always forget to do this and they always die :hs:

    I have left my camera on for quite some time too and the battery still lasts forever.

    that was the strange thing I do have it set to turn off after 2 minutes so I dunno how the battery drained itself :dunno:

    maybe as you were walking the shutter button kept on getting pressed. This will keep the camera on :dunno:
